Kettering Health Network is excited to announce a new partnership with Buckeye Ambulance designed to improve access to care through patient transportation.
This relationship will enable us to form Kettering Mobile Care, a medical transportation service whose vehicles are dedicated solely to transporting patients into and out of hospitals, emergency departments, outpatient facilities, senior living centers and nursing homes throughout the region.
Kettering Health Network’s fleet of 26 vehicles will be one of the largest hospital-branded fleets in the state—a truly unique service for our area.
Increasing Continuity of Care
All vehicles will be equipped with access to an Electronic Medical Record, which connects directly with ours. Patients and staff will benefit from a technology interface which provides an instant transfer of patient information. The network Patient Transfer Call Center will share space with Buckeye Dispatch to improve access and communication.
Transforming Healthcare
“Kettering Health Network continues to transform the healthcare experience for residents of Southwest Ohio,” says Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health Network. “We are excited have Buckeye Ambulance as a partner in this unique collaboration, as they share our mission and values for serving our communities.”
As patients have more access to our network of care through our freestanding Emergency Centers, this partnership will play a crucial role in delivering the best patient care and experience.
“We understand our employees’ need for quick and responsive transportation services in order to deliver the best outcomes for our patients,” says John Weimer, network executive director of Emergency and Trauma Services. “This unique collaboration with Buckeye Ambulance allows us to improve the transport experience.”
Coming to You
In celebration of this partnership, the branded vehicles will travel to all Kettering Health Network hospitals and free-standing emergency centers during the next 48 hours.
