$9,000 Raised to Help Our Neighbors in Need

Read Time: 1 min

Kettering College recently donated $9,000 to the Good Neighbor House community center from funds raised during their annual Spring Into Health 5k race. More than 500 participants turned out this year to run for the good cause.

Students in the Physicians Assistant Department (pictured with school administrators and Good Neighbor House staff) have been some of the primary organizers of the event since its start in 2009.

“It was an incredibly rewarding experience for our class to donate the funds to this cause,” says current PA student Anisha Mathi. She says planning this event is close to her class’ heart because of the Good Neighbor House’s commitment to offer medical care to those who cannot otherwise afford it. The center also provides food and health services for people in need in the Dayton area.
