A New Era in MRI Services

A Dedication and Open House for the new MRI Suite at Greene Memorial Hospital’s Imaging Center took place March 25. The ceremony officially marked the beginning of a new era in MRI services at the hospital. A portable MRI machine housed in a trailer was part of Greene’s landscape for nine years.

“It sure looked good to see that empty space on that Monday in January when I came to Greene,” said Terry Burns, president of Greene Memorial Hospital when he saw the lot without the trailer for the first time. “We are now able to offer an even better service to our community.”

Greene Medical Foundation underwrote a portion of its funding. Marsha Bayless, mayor of Xenia, and other hospital and foundation representatives joined Terry Burns to celebrate this achievement and to see the MRI Suite first hand.
