A New Vision for Value

Read Time: 2 mins

Kettering Health Network is changing how we deliver health care value to our patients and communities. We are a network of access points including outpatient centers, emergency services, physician practices, specialty services, and hospitals connected through an
integrated information system and coordinated through a central command center—the Network Operation Command Center (NOCC). The vision is to cover a geographic area with the necessary services to bring value and improve the lives of the people in those communities.

This change is taking shape to the north as we open Troy Hospital and begin constructing a new emergency and primary/specialty care center in Piqua. It is changing how the people in the region think about Kettering and the role we can play in the future. We have transformed from a hospital-centric health care model to a patient-centric health care model, bringing services as close as possible to where people live. Kettering Medical Center began to use the coordination of our new NOCC, which will assist in coordinating
transportation needs to Kettering, bed assignments within the hospital, cleaning assignments for rooms upon discharge, and the capability of assisting in assigning staff and coordinating equipment and materials.

These changes are part of the larger vision of creating value for patients and communities in a new and innovative way that truly works as a system and network, maximizing the services that can be delivered on an outpatient basis close to homes and neighborhoods and even online. Our people will continue to be the strength of the organization to live out the mission, vision, and values as they are developed in new locations and settings. You will be the conduit of value. Your ideas, skills, and capabilities will be the drive of this new vision for value.
