Allyn Kraft Named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s August Employee of the Month

Read Time: 2 mins

Congratulations to Allyn Kraft, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s August Employee of the Month. Allyn works in the Adult Intensive Outpatient Program.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Allyn was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Allyn is one of a kind. I have worked with him directly and indirectly for almost seven years. But it was not until this year that I really took notice of how dedicated and passionate Allyn is about our adolescents, which averages six to eight kids three days a week for three hours a day. He mentors, counsels, and consoles these troubled teens and gets them on the right path for success. Then when Allyn is done with the kids, he shifts gears to work with the intensive outpatient for adults. For another three hours, he is a therapist to a group of adults and listens to their problems, offering them coping skills, group activities, and encouragement that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. When groups are not in session, he is meeting with parents for family sessions and then meeting his adult patients for one more session. What kind of blew me away was he asked me to register a few patients so he could come in the next day to get started on treatment plans. The next day was Saturday! He said he comes in every Saturday to game plan and work on new activities for the upcoming week.

Health care is full of change. With a shrug of his shoulders, Allyn just rolls with it. He never complains. He is so valuable to this organization and more importantly to each and every life he touches. It is an honor to work with him. In Behavioral Health, Allyn impacts lives daily. With a kind word or with tough love our patients have the utmost respect for him. Patients that he had counseled years ago still come by to see him and just thank him for saving lives.”
