Congratulations to Amanda (Boesenberg) Naas, who was named Sycamore Medical Center’s July Employee of the Month. Amanda works in Cardiac Pulmonary at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Amanda was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Amanda (Mandy) was working with us in ICU at Sycamore when we had a patient whose condition declined her quickly and unexpectedly. Mandy jumped right in, getting all the supplies ready for intubation immediately. She stayed in the room and quickly adjusted everything she could to help this patient. We had a very hectic day and one of our doctors was having trouble placing a hemodialysis line. I was assisting him, and we needed an extra set of hands. Many stepped in and helped me apply pressure to a previous puncture site. She also stayed to assist since there was a Rapid Response called on another unit at the same time, taking away one of our ICU nurses. Mandy is a great asset to this team. She is very knowledgable in all situations. She never hesitates to lend a hand and anticipates needs for the entire unit. As a respiratory therapist, Mandy educates her patients and their families all throughout the day, keeping them informed about the care she is providing. I am so blessed to work with her and to know our ICU patients are getting great, safe care here at Sycamore. I would like for her to be recognized for all of her hard work and compassionate care.”
