Amber Rose Brown, director of Annual Giving and Special Events for Kettering Medical Center Foundation, has been named a 2021 40 Under 40 Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) winner. Amber is the only winner in the Greater Dayton region and one of two winners in Ohio to win this award.

The 40 Under 40 program is designed to recognize 40 young professionals within the healthcare philanthropy community who are shaping the future of the industry.

“Working in philanthropy is a passion of mine because I have the privilege of connecting individuals and companies that are making a difference in their community,” said Amber. “It’s exciting to see the money we raise directly impact patients and caregivers across Kettering Health. To be recognized for my work is really humbling and such an honor.”

In her role, Amber works closely with donors and community partners to maximize donor support for Kettering Health. Amber has worked in philanthropy for more than a decade, most recently working with education, arts and social services programs before joining Kettering Health. Amber has been with Kettering Health for four years.

“Amber is a very deserving recipient of this award,” said Rick Thie, president of Kettering Medical Center Foundation. “Her caring nature, her ability to connect with others in a meaningful way, and her determination and dedication towards our sacred mission are attributes that contribute significantly in our ability to secure the resources needed in the daily delivery of compassionate care to the communities we serve.”
