Congratulations to Angel Smith, who was named Kettering Physician Network’s September Employee of the Month. Angel works in the Beavercreek Urgent Care.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Angel was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Angel truly exhibits our sacred work of being called to care by her compassionate heart and great clinical judgment. Today a young lady was dropped off to the Urgent Care for outpatient studies. The patient should have been dropped off at Grandview. Angel immediately called the Grandview site and explained the patient would be late. She sat with the anxious and crying patient and explained we would assist in getting her to the correct location. It would have been so easy for Angel to just simply tell the patient she as at the wrong location, but once she assessed that this was a frightening situation for the patient, she sprang into action, giving the patient a real dose of Kettering caring for all of our patients.”
