Beverly Couch Named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s September Employee of the Month

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Beverly Couch, who was named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s September Employee of the Month. Beverly works in the PACU at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Beverly was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:

“We have women come to us who have suffered a miscarriage. Bev has so much compassion for them and wanted to be able to do something that would be a tangible remembrance for them to take home. She wanted to acknowledge what they had been through and let them know we care very much. She put together a gift bag that includes an angel pin, a sympathy card, and a Hope & Remembrance booklet that says “In our hearts, our babies live on.” This includes some scriptures, feelings they might have, ways to remember, tips on their health, suggestions for family and friends, tips for dealing with grief, local resources, and online resources. She put so much research into what needed to be included. She even bought cards herself as we were waiting for the printed ones to arrive.

Do you know someone who is a Network Star? Help us honor them by telling their story in the Network Stars form, located under the HR tab on the intranet.
