Congratulations to Bill Bright, who was named Sycamore Medical Center’s June Employee of the Month! Bill is a nurse in ICUE at Sycamore Medical Center.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Bill was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Bill was nominated 9 times in the month of May by patients and family members for his outstanding care. Here is just some of what they had to say about him: ‘Bill showed compassion and comfort to his patient and their family members during an extremely difficult time.’, ‘Bill was very caring and helpful, tried to do everything he could, great bedside manner. Just great in all ways!’, ‘I want to thank Bill for the communication and educating me about the condition and plan for treatment for my son while in the ICU. That is everything to the family of a patient.’, ‘Bill is a wonderful nurse who went out of his way to take care of his patient and answer all questions and put the family at ease and calm the patients mother so she wasn’t afraid.’, ‘[The patient] has mental issues and was on the vent. Bill helped him so much. He kept him calm and went above what was expected, not only for my grandson, but the whole family.’, ‘Bill was very caring, answered all questions of anyone who would ask. He was very patient with my nephew and was able to get him off the vent. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is a wonderful nurse!’”
