Daily tray cards offer patients inspirational messages

Along with their morning OJ and toast, inpatients at our hospitals are now getting food for their spirit. Seven different cards, one for each day of the week, feature passages of scripture discussing God’s healing love and a message about chaplain services.

“As a faith-based organization, we know the impact that something as simple as a tray card can have on someone’s day,” says Jarrod McNaughton, vice president for Missions and Development. “The goal of the simple gesture is to provide comfort to patients and their families.”

The tray cards were collaboration between Missions and Development, Spiritual Services, Marketing, and Nutrition Services.

“Life has ups and downs and emotions all over the place,” says Larry Kositsin, network director for Spiritual Services. “Happiness is often related to our external, but God nurtures true joy to our life.”
