Cardiac Treadmill Stress Testing with Myocardial Perfusion Imaging

Due to the marked increase in COVID-19 infections in our communities, all treadmill stress testing with myocardial perfusion imaging scheduled at a Kettering Health Network facility will be converted to pharmacologic testing with myocardial perfusion imaging unless specifically ordered by a cardiologist, effective Monday, November 23, 2020

Treadmill testing without adjunct imaging (nuclear or echocardiographic) will not be performed unless specifically ordered by a cardiologist.  

Rationale: Several studies have shown marked increase in difficulty for patients to perform treadmill testing while wearing facial coverings. Exercising unknown COVID-19-status patients without facial coverings can put patients and employees at risk.
