Greene Medical Foundation held its annual Circle of Victory Cancer Awareness Walk on October 2.
More than 300 people attended, participating in a 5K walk through Fairborn Community park and enjoying a vendor pavilion.
The day ended with a closing ceremony, where survivors stood in the shape of a “v” and others stood in a circle around them, forming the “circle of victory.” They also released purple balloons to honor people facing cancer in Greene County.
More than $70,000 was raised for the event, with proceeds providing financial assistance for patients facing cancer and receiving treatment at a Greene County Kettering Health Network facility.
