Clergy Visitation Policy

Read Time: 1 min

For the safety of our staff, patients, and community, Kettering Health Network, along with other Greater Dayton area hospitals, is now enforcing a no visitor policy, which includes clergy.

Pastoral care services are available at each Kettering Health Network hospital to support and attend patients’ diverse spiritual needs. To speak with a chaplain, patients at a network hospital should call the operator at (937) 298-4331. Patients should then tell the operator, “I need to see or talk to a chaplain at ________ hospital,” and the call will then be transferred.

To make in-house support more accessible, we have also launched Chaplain Chat for staff, patients, and family members to call and speak with one of our chaplains. Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., they can call 1-833-227-9875.

Please note that certain exceptions may apply for visitor restrictions, such as maternity patients or patients nearing end of life. For details, visit the dedicated COVID-19 page on k-news.
