COVID-19 Surge Staffing Incentives Extended

We are continuing to monitor the impact COVID-19 has on our organization and the strain it places on our various departments. With the continued community COVID volumes, Kettering Health is extending our ramped-up support for areas impacted by high COVID volumes.

Kettering Health will continue support for staff picking up extra shifts directly related to inpatient or emergency care for COVID patients. We will be offering two tiers of incentive, with the higher tier targeted for roles providing IP and ED direct patient care.

These incentives are approved ONLY for 02/06/2022 – 02/19/2022.

We expect to adjust our COVID Incentive Program going forward as our community volumes change. Please read the attached FAQ outlining the Incentive Program including full eligibility guidelines.

There is a committee reviewing role eligibility. Departments can apply for eligibility thru application to Derek Morgan.

Tier 1 Approved roles Include: 

  • Inpatient Nursing Units, Procedural, Maternity and EDs
  • Nursing Supervisors
  • KMC/GV Rapid Response RN Hospital Imaging Technologists
  • Hospital Respiratory Therapists
  • Hospital Phlebotomy

Tier 2 Approved roles include:

  • Hospital Lab Techs
  • Hospital EKG/Cardiac Techs
  • Hospital Pharmacy
  • Hospital Patient Transport
  • Hospital EVS
  • Hopital Nutrition Staff
  • Employee Health
  • Research Coordinators
  • Nursing PICC Float
  • COVID Infusion Ctr RN & Pharmacy
  • Hospital Care Management
  • Infection Prevention
  • Hospital Rehab
  • On-Demand Centers
  • Urgent Cares
