To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, we are asking that extended care facility (ECF) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients undergoing elective surgery or invasive procedures (cardiac cath, IR, endoscopy, etc.) undergo COVID-19 testing by a PCR method (rapid or conventional) three days prior to the procedure or surgery. The results must be received by 3 p.m. the day prior to the procedure. This will prevent unnecessary cancellations or transportation of these patients as well as increase safety for our staff and patients.
