Providers should order SARS-CoV-2 testing on patients who are admitted for COVID-19 who state they had a positive test from home or any source not verifiable in EPIC or Care Everywhere.
A verified test result must be in the electronic medical record (EMR) for infection prevention and control, treatment decisions, and other regulatory issues.
