David Ho, MD, is a Taiwanese-American researcher, physician and virologist. He is one of the founders of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, and Professor of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University.
Early in the AIDS epidemic, Dr. Ho and his team were instrumental in developing AIDS treatments, and “transforming an automatic death sentence into a manageable disease.”
More recently, Dr. Ho has worked on mitigating AIDS transmission, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ho’s lab team “identified one of the broadest and most potent panels of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 to date.”
