Eagle Seekers Raises Funds for Skills Lab

Read Time: 1 min

The Grandview Foundation held its 29th annual Eagle Seekers Golf Tournament on August 14 at Dayton Country Club. The event is Dayton’s longest running charity golf event.

More than 150 golfers attended this year’s event. The day included two rounds of golf, both with shotgun starts, as well as dinner and silent and live auctions for more than 50 baskets from departments and friends of the foundation. The event was M.A.S.H.-themed, and doctors dressed up as M.A.S.H. characters and performed a skit during the auction.

Over the years, the foundation has raised millions to support innovation through updated technology, residency education, training, patient care, and access. This year’s event raised more than $170,000 to benefit the Innovation and Procedural Skills Center at Southview Medical Center. This space will give resident physicians the opportunity to fine tune their technical skills and techniques. The activities in the Skills Lab will improve proficiency and limit risk or harm to patients.
