Employees Help Hurricane Victims

Read Time: 1 min

While no gift can repair what was taken away from affected families this hurricane season, Kettering Health Network employees came together to help support the areas hit b Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

In response to Hurricane Harvey, the network’s Missions Department provided nearly $230,000 worth of Personal Protection Equipment to relief teams.

For those affected by Hurricane Irma, Kettering Health Network collaborated with the Grandview Foundation and Mary and Harold Rieck to hold a week-long donation drive. Collecting personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and much more, volunteer workers were able to fill a 53-foot semi-truck. The truck left on September 26 for Sebring, Florida, the second-hardest hit county in the state. Once there, the items will be distributed by the network’s sister hospital, Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, through the local food bank.
