Epic Enhancement Requests Changing October 14

Read Time: 1 min

The network is beginning a “Refuel” journey that will allow us to use Epic to the fullest extent. To allow the teams to focus on this new initiative, Epic enhancement requests (requests for change) will be reviewed differently.

You will submit requests in the same manner as before. When an enhancement request is received, the Refuel project team will first look for a Refuel solution. If a solution is available, the enhancement will be added to the Refuel project. If there is not a Refuel solution, the request will be logged for evaluation after the project is complete. You are encouraged to check your network email address for updates on your enhancement tickets.

Note: All tickets addressing something broken in Epic will continue with the current process. This change in review will only impact enhancements in Epic.

What is Refuel?

Refuel is a partnership with the network and Epic to realign our workflows and systems with health care best practices. These improvement opportunities will focus on reducing variation and adopting one best practice across all network facilities.

Who will be affected by this change?

This will impact anyone in the network who uses Epic.

When will this change take place?

The new process will begin on October 14.

Who can I contact with questions?
