Fort Hamilton’s annual School Supply Drive is ready to help employee families go back to school. Departments can assist by collecting school supplies in their department from now through July 31. Departments that would like to collect supplies can call Christy in HR at ext. 76402 to receive a collection box.
Monetary donations are also being accepted this year through the Fort Hamilton Foundation. Donation envelopes are available in HR and donations can be made with cash or check. A special donation day will be held on Thursday, July 20, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3:30-4 p.m. in Overlook Hallway. Payroll deduction will be available during those times, and anyone who donates will be entered to win a Friends of Fort Gift Pack and Overlook Cafe coupons.
School supply request forms are available in HR and by the B-level and first floor time clocks. Forms must be completed and returned by July 28. Supplies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and the availability of supply items is limited to donations received.
