Grandview Medical Center’s Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and Sycamore Medical Center’s Emergency Department have been named 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award winners by Press Ganey, a leading provider of patient experience measurement, performance analytics, and strategic advisory solutions for health care organizations across the continuum of care.

The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile of performance or above in patient experience. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.

“We are honored to be recognized for our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit’s ability to maintain consistently high levels of excellence,” says Russ Wetherell, president of Grandview Medical Center. “it is a fitting tribute  to the physicians, nurses, and staff who consistently provide quality, compassionate care to our patients.”

“One of our top priorities is to deliver an exceptional experience for our patients,” says Walter Sackett, president of Sycamore Medical Center. “We are pleased that Press Ganey has acknowledged our Emergency Department staff’s demonstrated commitment to this priority.”
