Despite uncooperative weather conditions, the Grandview Foundation managed to have  a successful event. Eagle Seekers raised over $150,000 to benefit the renovation of Grandview’s medical education building and community wellness programming.

Staff from many departments at Grandview, Southview, and outlying affiliated centers assembled awesome silent auction baskets to help ensure a successful outcome, and for that, the Foundation team is sincerely appreciative. “Hole in One” cupcakes were delivered to thank the departments who contributed to the auction.

Eagle Seekers will be back at Dayton Country Club next year on August 14.

90th Anniversary Celebration Activities

The Grandview Foundation has celebrated Grandview’s 90th anniversary throughout the year. The “big gift” to the hospital was dedicated in July with the ribbon cutting for Grandview’s Gateway and garden. A $1 million gift from Mary and Harold Rieck was also announced. Their generous donation will help renovate the medical education building at Grandview.

Community Lunch Bunch

The Grandview Foundation hosts a free lunch and learn educational series each month for the surrounding community. Lunch is provided, and then a lecture is presented on health related topics.  These events have been very popular and are attended by 75-100 people each month.

Farmer’s Market

Grandview partnered with our neighbors in Five Oaks to host three Farmer’s Markets on the fourth Sunday in July, August and September. Local vendors offered a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, soaps, relish and other fresh items. The events were held at the Grandview parking lot across from the main hospital entrance.  Look for more Farmer’s Markets in 2017.
