Grandview Medical Center Expands Emergency Department

Read Time: 1 min

In anticipation of increased demand for emergency services in West Dayton, Grandview Medical Center is doubling the size of its Emergency Department and select hospital services. The expansion includes 10,400 square feet of remodeled space and 2,600 square feet of new, additional space, and will take Grandview’s Emergency Department from 25 to 50 exam rooms. The project is expected to be completed in November 2018.

To kick off construction, hospital and local leaders took turns knocking down a wall in Grandview administration with a sledgehammer. Elected officials, community leaders, and Kettering Health Network and hospital leadership were all invited to the “sledgehammer ceremony.”

“We have and will continue to invest in the West Dayton community,” says Roy Chew, president of Kettering Health Network. “As a faith-based healthcare provider, it is our sacred calling to accommodate our patients’ needs in this ever-changing healthcare environment.”
