Grandview Medical Center is working with Primary Health Solutions to open Grafton Hill Medical Building, a Federally Qualified Health Center to be located across the street from Grandview. The partnership is part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to support West Dayton following the closure of Good Samaritan Hospital in July 2018.
Federally Qualified Health Centers are community-based centers that receive funds from the federal government to provide primary health care services in underserved areas. They must meet a stringent set of requirements , including providing care on a sliding fee scale based in ability to pay and operating under a governing board that includes patients.
The center will provide primary care during normal business hours and express care until 9 p.m. seven days a week. Other services include a pharmacy, lab services, behavioral health, dental care, and medication-assisted treatment for people with substance abuse disorders.
