Kettering Health Network is partnering with Shoes 4 the Shoeless and A Child’s Hope International to provide relief items to victims of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina.
Requested items include:
- Cleaning supplies: paper towels, trash bags, plastic gloves, and disinfecting wipes
- Personal hygiene supplies: shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste
- Baby items: bottles, diapers, wipes, and formula
- First aid supplies: band aids, gauze, tape, and alcohol wipes
Donations can be dropped off at barrels found at one of the locations listed below by September 27:
- ASB: lobby
- Austin Landing: 2nd floor, outside the elevator
- Fort Hamilton Hospital: lobby
- Grandview Medical Center: lobby
- Greene Memorial Hospital : outside cafeteria
- Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center: administration
- Kettering College: lobby
- Kettering Medical Center: outside cafeteria
- Prestige: lobby
- Soin Medical Center: lobby
- Southview Medical Center: lobby
- Sycamore Medical Center: lobby
On Saturday, September 29, all the donated items will be transported to Pollocksville, North Carolina. This area had not fully recovered from Hurricane Matthew a few years ago, and they were devastated during Florence, leaving most of the town underwater.
