Kettering Health is collaborating with I Love West Dayton in organizing a volunteer clean-up event on July 24.
I Love West Dayton was founded in 2020 with the mission of bringing restoration and innovation to West Dayton by working alongside residents to implement community entryways, green spaces, and garden beds that will be utilized for academic purposes and the needs of the community.
Employees interested in volunteering should send an email to missions@ketteringhealth.org and a confirmation email will be provided with additional details as needed. Employees can also invite other co-workers and family members to help volunteer. To learn more about the event, check out the details below.
Event details
Date: Saturday, July 24
Location: 2208 W Third St. Dayton, OH 45417 (Reference for those using GPS: Address is located at the corner of S. Woodward Ave. and W. Third St.).
Arrival time: 9:45 a.m.
Clean-up time: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
What to wear: If possible, please wear your “Be Your Best” t-shirt and closed toed shoes. Otherwise, dress appropriately for gardening and trash clean-up.
What to bring: Some gardening tools will be available but please bring trash bags and gardening tools of your own to use (rakes, shovels, etc.).
