Helping Hands End Date and Future Care Cart Volunteering

Read Time: 2 mins

Helping Hands will finish on Friday, November 19.

Through the Helping Hands program, 181 Kettering Health employees volunteered a cumulative 3,055 hours to support clinical units and more than 650 hours to Care Carts.

Thank you to our many volunteers who brought us through this difficult season together.

The Care Cart ministry has been incredibly meaningful to our frontline hospital staff. Nestor Bruno, Director of Mission and Ministry, shares the following message about how you can  continue supporting the Care Carts:

As we face life’s difficult times, the people around us make all the difference. We have seen God appear in many ways in the past months, especially through our teams and staff members. One way grace, warmth, and encouragement showed up in our corridors, different departments, and units was through the Care Carts our chaplains put together.

This ministry was expanded and upgraded with the incredible help of the Helping Hands team. Thanks to everyone who took from their time to visit the units and be part of this initiative.

Now, as the Helping Hands program finishes, we have a special invitation for all of you. If you would like to keep participating in rounding with the Care Cart as a volunteer, you are welcome to continue being part of the team. You just need to contact your local campus chaplain to find out how and when.
