The Christmas season can be especially difficult when you are struggling daily to meet basic needs for you and those around you. Thanks to Touching Moments and the Grandview and Southview family, this Christmas, the holiday season was a little better for everyone involved.
Touching Moments is a faith-based, 501 (c)(3) non-profit, public charitable organization that is committed to providing assistance to families with issues of terminal health complications, domestic violence, and homelessness. As an organization, they help under privileged families and youth within the community. They are committed to helping these individuals reach their full potential and become vital members of their community. Motivational seminars, job enhancement skill classes, and mentorship programs are just a few ways in which they look to give back.
This is the Grandview Medical Center Systems’ third year of participation, and this year had the largest response to date. Overall, ten families were adopted and several hundred presents were donated!
