Honoring Our Veterans with Honor Flight Dayton

Read Time: 1 min

Help us say thank you to our Kettering Health veterans with Honor Flight Dayton, a once-in-a-lifetime chance for veterans to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C.!

Get involved this Veterans Day and sign up as a veteran, guardian, or volunteer on the 2016 Dayton Honor Flight on November 5. This trip provides the chance for veterans of the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Wars to see their national memorials in Washington, D.C. Priority will be given to Kettering Health Network employee veterans and veteran family members of employees. Space is limited.

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Veterans who are employees can apply to visit the memorials
  • Veteran family members of employees can apply to visit the memorials
  • Employees can sign up as a guardian for a veteran. Guardians pay a $375 fee, which helps make these trips for our veterans possible.
  • Employees can volunteer to be at the airport to help guide veterans through, see them off, and welcome them home.

We hope to make our veterans feel valued and appreciated. Signing up to participate in any capacity is a wonderful way to get involved and show the community our support for local veterans.
