Due to COVID surge demands, we are temporarily converting the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation facilities at Kettering Health Miamisburg and Kettering Health Hamilton to hospital medical beds.
Effective immediately, all intake referrals to these facilities should cease.
Current Inpatient Acute Rehabilitative patients will continue to be cared for and conversion of the bed/room will occur after a patient’s discharge.
Hospital care management teams will process identified patient care needs for Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation level of care to external resources per normal operations. Please note, we are aware many hospitals are considering conversion of Acute Inpatient Rehabilitative units to support hospital capacity. Therefore, we anticipate allocation to Acute Inpatient Rehabilitative units will be dramatically limited.
Care Management teams can assist in connecting with applicable next-level-of-care needs for patients for scenarios where limitations are encountered.
