Is Your Payroll Info Correct?

Read Time: 2 mins

As the end of the year approaches, please take a moment to ensure your payroll information is correct within UltiPro found at Employee Self-Service on the intranet. Any changes must be made by Wednesday, December 17.

Review your address on your check to ensure this is the proper mailing address for your 2014 W‐2.

Even if you have chosen to receive your W‐2 electronically, it is still important that your address is correct. To update your address within Ulti-Pro, go to Myself > Personal > Address and click on “Change name, address, telephone” at the bottom of the screen.

Confirm that your name and Social Security Number are correct and match your Social Security Card.

Go to Employee Self Service and going to Myself >Personal. Your name and social security number appear at the top of the screen. This information must be correct on your W‐2. Please contact Human Resources if you need to make a correction.

Do you need to update your federal income tax filing status, exemption allowances, or exempt status since your last W‐4 filing?

Complete a new W‐4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, and submit the form to Human Resources. The W‐4 form can be found on the intranet under Payroll >Tax forms.

Verify that your local residence tax code and school district are correct.

Within UltiPro, go to  Myself >Pay >W‐4.  Click on “State/Local withholding” at the bottom of the screen. On the State/Local Withholding screen, it will list all locals set up on your record. If you do not see your residence local or school district listed, please contact the Human Resources department.

Claiming exempt from federal income taxes again this year?

If you claimed “exempt” on your W‐4 for 2014 and you still meet the requirements to do so again for 2015, you will need to complete a new W‐4 by February, 18, 2015 to maintain your status. Please be sure to review the IRS requirements for exempt status on the W-4.

Social Security changes for 2015

The employee contribution rate for Social Security withholding is 6.2%.  The 2015 Medicare employee tax is 1.45% with an additional 0.9% on individual wages in excess of $200,000.  The maximum Social Security wage base has increased from $117,000 for 2014 to $118,500 for 2015.

Elect to receive your W-2 Electronically

Within Ulti-Pro, go to  Myself >Pay >W‐2.  On the W-2 tab, click on the “Change” button to opt out of receiving a paper W-2.  Select “I want an electronic copy only” to opt out of receiving a paper W-2.  After you make your selection, hit “Save”.
