Congratulations to James Filson, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s May Employee of the Month! James works in Adult Psych at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. James was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“I feel that James should be a candidate for employee of the month. He is very efficient and when I am Charge Nurse, I know that everything will be taken care of. He always keeps me up to date about situations on the unit and I’m very appreciative of that. He’s very attentive with the patient’s needs and cares about doing a good job. He’s our IT man when we have problems with the computer and he’s just a great asset to our team. I appreciate him and I feel this is long overdue and he should be recognized for his work ethics”.
“I believe James Filson would be a great choice for Employee of the Month. He always completes tasks asked of him by nurses and carries out his duties without any question. I’ve watched him help patients out with their needs when nurses are busy. I’ve always told nurses that ‘Your night always goes as good as your techs are.’ This is because when nurses are busy with the nursing aspect of care, our techs help manage patients in the milieu and take care of immediate non-medical needs, which in turn help the nurses complete their assignments in a timely manner. James is a great example of an efficient, professional, and caring mental health technician.”
