Janet Turri has been named Sycamore Medical Center’s July Employee of the Month. Janet works in the Bariatric Department. Her nomination is as follows:
“Janet Tuuri goes above and beyond for her patients and is always willing to rearrange her schedule to make things work. Today, she was willing to teach a Bariatric patient on a Friday afternoon when she doesn’t normally work. This was the only time the Nursing Facility could get transportation to the hospital. The patient was also running late for the appointment and Janet made sure everything was taken care of. She even brought teaching materials to the ortho class to make it easier on the patient. She has, on many occasions, agreed to come in on a Friday when no other day would work for the patient. She even went to an appointment with a patient to the bariatric surgeon’s office on a Friday day on her day off, because the patient was nervous and asked her to. She definitely shines for our hospital!”
