Jenna Masters Recognized as Fort Hamilton’s Employee of the Month

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Jenna Masters, who was named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s Employee of the Month! Jenna serves in the hospital’s Float Pool.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Jenna was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“A patient was admitted with a condition that had many complications. He required MARTTI to ensure communication. While the patient was being discharged, Jenna was having a difficult time teaching the patient to draw up insulin with a syringe. After working with the patient, he stated that if he could see better, it may be easier to draw medication. Jenna clocked out and then went to the store and purchased a pair of reading glasses for the patient with her own money. She brought them back to the patient, and the discharging nurse stated that the patient was then able to draw the medication easily. She is always going above and beyond to insure the patients are cared for at the hospital and that the care continues at home. We are lucky to have her here at Fort Hamilton as part of our team.”
