Congratulations to Jennifer Brooks, who was named Kettering Physician Network’s August Employee of the Month. Jennifer works at Primary Care Eaton.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Jennifer was nominated by Jill Vosler, DO, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Jennifer was rooming a gentleman who, after a review of his lab results and ongoing medical problems, determined he needed to get fit. He knew that the only answer was to find the motivation to change not only his lifestyle but his life. He was struggling to find this motivation, and that was when Jennifer stepped up and offered a solution. She offered to change her own behavior, but only if he would agree to do the same.
True to her word, she has lost a remarkable amount of weight, something she had been trying to do for years. It took her devotion to this patient for her to finally make the changes necessary to not only achieve her long-sought goals but to allow him to achieve his. Because of Jennifer, this has ultimately improved his health and has a new lease on life. There is no question in my mind that Jennifer’s selfless action resulted in a better quality and longer life for her patient.”
