John Larch Named OHA Health Care Worker of the Year Nominee

John Larch grayJohn Larch was recognized as an Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year nominee for his commitment to the community and willingness to go beyond the call of duty. Nominees are selected by leaders of each Kettering Health Network hospital and were honored at this year’s OHA annual recognition dinner on June 9.

John works as the clinical nurse manager in the Emergency Trauma Center at Greene Memorial Hospital. In addition, he serves as the emergency preparedness coordinator for both Greene Memorial Hospital and Soin Medical Center, where he helps ensure both facilities are prepared for any situation. He also coordinated the first aid program at Greene County Fair for the past several years and serves the community through his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, Xenia Marathon, Greene County Cycling Event, and YMCA Summer Community Park program.

His nomination read:

“John is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people in our community. As a dedicated leader in our Greene Memorial Hospital Emergency Trauma Center, John models our Kettering Health Network standards of behavior and serves as an example to other leaders and staff, for being collaborative, competent, innovative, caring, and trustworthy. John is the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for both Greene Memorial Hospital and Soin Medical Center. John is very patient and is an excellent teacher in helping to train and educate other leaders and team members regarding emergency preparedness and emergency response.”
