You’re invited to join your co-workers and leaders as we honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy. In previous years, Kettering Health Network has celebrated the life of Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day March in downtown Dayton. However, as events and marches are on pause this year, we are encouraging employees to celebrate the day in other meaningful ways.
Kettering Health Network employees can purchase a plant as a symbol of growth. As a plant changes and grows, we can be reminded of the change that Martin Luther King Jr. stood for. During the week of January 18 – 23, you can purchase a plant from Luna Gifts and Botanicals where 25% of the proceeds will be donated to MLK Dayton, Inc., the organization that hosts the march and other annual events that focus on the mission to inspire citizens to act on the vision of social justice. We also invite you to send a photo of you and your plant to KNews@ketteringhealth.org that will be shared in a future post.
Luna Gifts and Botanicals is located at 261 Wayne Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45402 in the Oregon District. Make sure to show your badge when you make your purchase so 25% of the proceeds are donated to the cause.
