Jon started a program at the cancer center to give encouragement to patients during and after treatment. Each week Jon prints inspirational sayings on magnets that patients can take home to help keep their spirits up. Jon also turns on their favorite television show when they arrive and offers help however he can.
The patients receive a flower pot with a note of well wishes from the Gebhart staff when they complete their treatments. The patients or patients’ family can plant the gift which will produce a garden of wild flowers.
Thanks to Jon for offering encouragement and hope on a daily basis to some of our most fragile patients, and for providing an excellent experience for patients.
