Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Jonathan Engelman, who was named Kettering College’s January Employee of the Month. Jonathan works in Science and Math.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Jonathan was nominated by a co-worker, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Jonathan offers enthusiastic and friendly support that exceeds the advising duties for students faced with any obstacles or difficulties, and those considering alternative professions. On December 11, he walked a student to the Kettering College Respiratory Department, and stayed with her as she inquired about changing her program to respiratory care. He made sure she was comfortable, and that she had the program information for registering for the upcoming semester. This student expressed her gratitude for Jonathan’s push and for taking his time to educate her about different occupations that provide hands-on care for pediatric patients. He is a star to this student and this program!

Jonathan is a student advocate, eliminating barriers as he ensures students have tools and preparation to succeed. He informs programs when students are having difficulties and works one on one with students who need extra help. He is an asset and very involved in research activities in the college. We breathe easy knowing he is here helping promote the profession of respiratory care and our program.”
