Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Julie Obercorn, who was named Fort Hamilton Hospital’s June Employee of the Month. Julie works in Food Services at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Julie was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Julie never hesitates to help our patients when she is on the unit. She will run her legs off fetching blankets, finding the proper staff to resolve issues, and never letting a patient get skipped or go hungry. She is always careful to spread out our supervised feeds, which is a great deal of help to the aides and nurses working the floor. Her upbeat attitude is the best, and patients love to have her in the room. She isn’t just in and out with a tray; she always asks them how they’re feeling or about their family.
