Congratulations to Kendra Wyant, who was named Southview’s October Employee of the Month! Kendra works in the cafeteria at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Kendra was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Everyday, I enter our humble little cafeteria and I see Kendra’s smiling face. She always says hello. She almost feels like extended family. I do not believe I have ever seen her upset or frazzled, even when she is slammed with customers. Today I got my typical cheeseburger and fries, and she knows what I want before I ever enter the grill. She had at least half a dozen customers waiting in line. She smiled and said, ‘I love it when it is like this because my day goes so fast.’ She smiled and completed her orders in record time. Southview is fortunate to have an employee who provides an example of what true engagement means.”
Kendra’s manager also weighed in, stating:
“Kendra is a huge example of what teamwork is about. She is always positive and doing everything she can to help her teammates. She is always coming up with good ideas to serve our guests and to give them something different. You will never find her without a smile on her face!”
