What does the PLUS Status signify?
PLUS signifies an additional level of recognition, noting a hospital’s dedication to providing above-standard quality care to each patient through additional evidence-based therapies beyond The Join Commission/CMS Core Measures and Get With The Guidelines Performance Measures.
GWTG-S Quality Measures
Hospitals are required to select and submit five or more quality measures for the Stroke PLUS Quality Award:
- Dysphagia screening
- Stroke education
- Rehabilitation considered
- Time to intravenous thrombolytic therapy
- LDL documented
- Intensive satin therapy
- IV rt-PA 3.5 hours (arrived by 3.5 hours TX by 4.5 hours)
- NIHSS reported
