Kettering College Offers New Healthcare Management Major

Read Time: 1 min

Kettering College is now offering a new healthcare management major for people who are interested in pursuing a career in business in the healthcare industry. This major also offers a pre-occupational therapy track for those wishing to apply to an occupational therapy program.

The three-year, full-time course of study is equivalent to a four-year degree.

“This major will prepare students to work on the business side of healthcare in a management role,” said Paula Reams, PhD, chair of the health sciences department at Kettering College. “The major also offers a pre-occupational therapy track for students who are interested in going on to a graduate-level occupational therapy program, such as Kettering College’s occupational therapy doctoral program.”

About half of the courses in the program are offered on the Kettering College campus, while the other half are offered online. All students will take approximately 125 hours in total, including general education and business management courses. During their final year, students will complete an internship at a local or national healthcare organization to gain real-world experience.
