Kettering Health Network Expands COVID-19 Testing – Medical Staff Notice

The Governor has lifted the restriction on non-essential surgeries.  We are now scheduling all surgical procedures

Effective, Friday June 5, Kettering Health Network will expand its testing. The specimen collection will be done at the drive-thru center on the Southview Medical Center Campus.  This site requires a physician order to perform the specimen collection. 

Hours of Operation:

Mon-Fri           7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sat & Sun        8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The following patients will be processed through this site initially:

  • Outpatient symptomatic patients:  Ordered through their Kettering Health Network primary care provider
  • Outpatient asymptomatic patients: Moving from their home into a congregate care facility, ordered through their Kettering Health Network primary care provider
  • Symptomatic employees: Ordered by a provider
  • Elective surgery patients:  Surgical patients will be tested two days prior to their surgery. The testing is arranged through Pre-admission Testing. 

Coming soon: Elective cath lab, interventional radiology, and bronchoscopy testing.
