Fort Hamilton Replacing IntelliSpace (iSite) with Sectra PACS

Read Time: 1 min

NOTICE: The release date for Kettering Health Network took place on February 2.

Fort Hamilton will go live with the Sectra PACS/Enterprise Imaging Solution to store and access patient medical imaging examinations.

What is happening?

Sectra PACS is replacing the IntelliSpace (iSite) PACS system. This happened at all network locations on February 2 except for Fort Hamilton Hospital and its affiliated locations. Fort Hamilton facilities will go live on March 25 at 9 a.m.

For most PACS users, the change will be seamless. When you log into the system for the first time, you will use the same passwords and login credentials that you use for Epic.

There are two variations of the Sectra application you may see:

  • UniView: This web viewer will be installed on all work stations across the network and integrated with Epic. This is also available via remote access when dialing in from home. This is the primary view that will be used by most users.
  • IDS7: This is the full application used in radiology and surgical areas.

Why are we doing this?

Sectra PACS provides new technology functions, along with a new image viewing application that will benefit our users. Sectra is a well-regarded company in the industry, having won the customer satisfaction award “Best in KLAS” for the last six years.
