Kettering Health Selected as Official Healthcare Provider of Cincinnati Bengals

Read Time: 4 mins

It’s official: Kettering Health has been selected as the official healthcare provider of the Cincinnati Bengals!

Through this 10-year partnership, Kettering Health and the Cincinnati Bengals will collaborate on the development of community health programs and initiatives to make a difference in the lives of people in both the Dayton and Cincinnati regions.

“As a healthcare organization, Kettering Health is dedicated to supporting the needs of our community, ultimately helping people be their best,” said Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health. “The Bengals are equally committed to their people, their fans, and local residents. This partnership builds on that common purpose and strengths of both organizations, and we are excited to work together to build a healthier community.”

“We are excited to have Kettering Health join us as official healthcare provider of the Cincinnati Bengals,” said Katie Blackburn, executive vice president of the Cincinnati Bengals. “The Bengals are aligned with Kettering Health on the importance of excellence, teamwork, community, and innovation. We look forward to working with Kettering Health across Greater Cincinnati and Greater Dayton to positively impact lives in the community.”

This new designation provides unique ways to continue improving the health and wellness of local communities:

  • Crucial Catch to Intercept Cancer: As the exclusive partner for the NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign, Kettering Health partner with the Bengals throughout the year to raise awareness for key cancer screenings, culminating with a special Bengals’ home game in October, which will honor cancer survivors and the work our team is doing.
  • Caring for the Fans: Kettering Health will have five branded first aid clinics inside of Paul Brown Stadium. We are currently collaborating on a long-term agreement to provide a wide-array of medical services for the team.
  • Youth Flag Football Program: The Bengals’ official flag football program reaches dozens of schools in a 60-mile radius around Cincinnati. As the presenting sponsor of this program, we’ll partner with the team to safely introduce the game of football to elementary-aged school children.

There will also be Kettering Health signage at the stadium and on other Bengals materials, like their website and social media accounts. The Bengals’ logos will also be seen throughout Kettering Health, such as on campuses, apparel, and more.

FAQ

Why did the Bengals choose us instead of a health system in Cincinnati?

Over the course of conversations with the team, it became clear that both organizations are committed to improving the lives of local residents throughout southwest Ohio—including both Dayton and Cincinnati.

And Dayton is full of Bengals fans too! During their run to the Super Bowl, we saw many employees showing their Bengals spirit. We’re excited for that pride to continue as we work with the team to build a healthier community.

How much will the partnership cost?

Opportunities like this are rare, and we’re excited to see how we can expand our mission and continue improving the lives of people in Dayton and Cincinnati as a result of this partnership. We would not be in this position without the hard work of our Kettering Health family, and it’s important to note that this partnership does not impact our commitment to hiring and retaining great team members, nor does it impact any capital investment plans.

Will we be treating Bengals players?

We’re working with the Bengals organization to establish the proper protocols, so we can provide medical advice and services whenever appropriate to the team under NFL and NFL Player Association medical guidelines.

How will Kettering Health employees be included in the partnership?

We’re looking forward to celebrating this partnership for years to come. Plans are still being developed, but know that we’re exploring a variety of opportunities to inspire and celebrate you—from game tickets to special memorabilia to special appearances from team representatives.

Does this mean we can put the Bengals logo on things?

In some cases, yes! But the Bengals and the NFL have strict rules on how and when their logos and phrases can be used. Any inquiries about the use of the Bengals’ logos should be directed to the Kettering Health Marketing and Communications Department.

If I want to ask the Bengals for something like giveaways or a mascot appearance, how do I do that?

Our partnership with the team includes a set number of benefits, such as memorabilia and mascot visits. If you’d like to ask the Bengals to donate something, please contact the Marketing and Communications Department so it can be addressed through the appropriate team contacts.
