IBM Watson Health has named Kettering Medical Center as one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the country, making it the only hospital in the Dayton region and one of five hospitals in Ohio to earn this award.

This year’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals study evaluated nearly 1,000 hospitals with cardiovascular services to identify top-performing cardiovascular health hospitals in the United States, based on clinical outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience.

“The physicians and staff dedicate their time and effort to be the best so that each patient can be their best, said Wally Sacket, president of Kettering Medical Center. “We are honored to be the only Cardiovascular program in this area recognized as one of the country’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals as it reinforces the high-quality care we provide our patients.”

This is the fourth time Kettering Medical Center has earned this achievement.

“To be named among some of the best hospitals in the nation is an honor,” said Alina Joseph, executive director for Heart & Vascular for Kettering Health Network. “Our staff is focused on continuously advancing cardiovascular care, so patients have local access to quality, high-level care when needed.”

Hospitals included in the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals had better outcomes while operating more efficiently and at a lower cost.
