Kettering Named a 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital

Truven Health Analytics has named Kettering Medical Center one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals. Truven Health Analytics is a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare.

“It is an extreme honor to receive this recognition,” says Roy Chew, president of Kettering Medical Center. “This is the seventh year in a row that Kettering Medical Center has been named a 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to exceptional patient care.”

The Truven Health 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals study evaluates performance in key areas: risk-adjusted mortality, risk-adjusted complications, core measures (a group of measures that assess process of care), percentage of coronary bypass patients with internal mammary artery use, 30-day mortality rates, 30-day readmission rates, severity-adjusted average length of stay, and wage- and severity-adjusted average cost.
